Rehearsal Information

The majority of rehearsals take place Saturday afternoons.The studio is reserved for rehearsals from 11:45-6:30pm—you/your child will not be there for the entire time, but just for the role/roles you will perform (from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours each day).  Some roles may rehearse on Sunday afternoons and some Monday evenings are reserved for additional rehearsals  from 7:30-9pm.

  There is an Int/Adv class every Saturday 10-11:30, regular class fees apply.

 Rehearsals start Saturday September 7.

Participants need to be available for rehearsal during tech week, 12/7-13.

Mandatory rehearsals:

Cue to Cue 12/7;

Tech 12/8;

and Dress 12/13.

 You need to be there if you are in the act being rehearsed.

Absences

We understand that absences may happen due to illness and factors beyond your control, however once two rehearsals are missed it becomes a stressor for the entire production. We hope that performers prioritize rehearsals and consider their fellow cast mates, production staff, and the ultimate production quality when choosing to miss a rehearsal not related to illness. If more than two are missed it may be necessary to schedule private rehearsals for a separate fee. Performers are responsible for learning any missed choreography before the next rehearsal (make friends with your fellow cast mates!).

Fees

Participation requires a one time rehearsal fee of $50 for each cast member, due on the first day of rehearsal.

The costume fee this year will be $25 per performer, due October 7th.

Participants will also be required to supply the correct stage make-up, tights & shoes at their own cost.

The rehearsal schedule will be announced along with the cast list. Rehearsal dates and times may be subject to change.

By participating in the Lewisburg Victorian Nutcracker you will be representing Strictly Ballet and RiverStage Community Theatre. It is our ultimate responsibility to provide the audience with a high quality community production. Your dedication and talent are what makes the performance possible; all of our caution and care will be required to keep each other safe. It is your responsibility and opportunity, as an individual and as a group, to put your/our best foot forward so we can have the best show possible. Please conduct yourself with proper conduct and etiquette while in the studio, building, dressing room, studio, and stage. There may be times when rehearsals will be inconvenient for you or your family. Please consider carefully whether this commitment is right for you. Performers who do not comply with participation rules will be dismissed. There is NO REFUND of the rehearsal fee if you are dismissed, although if WE must cancel the production for health and safety reasons we will refund costume fees.

Participation requires:

  • Support and commitment from your family
  • Awareness of & compliance with rehearsal dates
  • Dancers are expected to maintain regular attendance in their ballet classes (or other current training) during the week in order to protect themselves from injury and to remain performance ready.
